3 Great Reasons to Attend EphMRA 2020 Conference (As Told by Delegates)

Insights and Highlights

Preparations are well underway now for the EphMRA Annual Conference in Antwerp from 23 – 25 June 2020. The team has been reviewing delegate feedback from this year’s event and, never wanting to pass up the opportunity for a little qualitative research, we identified three key themes.

These themes were the reasons you attend EphMRA conferences, which are:
High-quality, motivational, inspirational and thought-provoking content
Valuable networking opportunities
A great event to share ideas and learn from colleagues

We also noticed certain words that kept on popping up …

Thank you for this insight. It is very rewarding for us to know you gain real value from our events both in terms of content but also from the interaction and networking with colleagues.

Highly Relevant and Inspirational Content

Selecting speakers for the EphMRA Conference is a monumental task – as anyone on our Programme Committee can tell you! We take the responsibility of putting together an impactful programme for you with a balanced mix of topics very seriously. So, when we reviewed the feedback from delegates and saw that the speakers this year were rated the highest for many a year, we were delighted!  You told us that the speakers are providing you with real insights that you can take back to the office and use in a practical way – meaning that your attendance at the conference is providing you with significant, tangible value.

“Content was one of the best – inspirational, motivational – mainly due to presentations based on case studies. Saw 16 papers and 10-12 of them were based on real case studies – inspirational.”

Agency Delegate

“A great mix of agency papers and thought-provoking plenary sessions this year. A really interesting programme.”

Great Networking Opportunities

Attending a conference is a commitment, both financially and in your time and energy. We understand that, to our delegates, the EphMRA Conference is about more than just listening to presentations (however good they may be). It’s about connecting with people.

Your comments told us that one of the most important reasons to attend our Annual Conference is to network with like-minded people who are leading the way in our industry. We’re pleased that delegates view our Conference as the event to catch up with colleagues and make new connections.

“Still the best industry event to catch up with old friends and make new contacts!”

Xierong Liu – Director, Ipsos Healthcare

Knowledge Sharing

Our industry is based on knowledge, learning and how this can be used to continually develop and progress. Delegate feedback told us that the EphMRA Conference is an ideal environment for sharing this knowledge, including:

Success stories
Innovation

This knowledge sharing doesn’t just take place in the presentation sessions (plenaries, parallels, Agency Sessions and discussions), it is happening all the time. It’s those debates you have after a great presentation, the discussions that take place over dinner and the overall buzz of innovation that is felt in the air.

“I love coming to the yearly EphMRA Conference. Such a great opportunity to network, share experiences and to learn from each other on subjects that are key to our industry both now and in the future – anything from Digital, BE, RWD, AL & ML through to GDPR. Also, it’s great meeting up with friends old and new and having some time away from the office to truly reflect on how these learnings can be applied to my working role.”

Carolyn Chamberlain – Director, Purdie Pascoe

“The Conference provides great value for me, learning about new trends and meeting people to share knowledge and experience in the field of market research and business insights.”

 An Enjoyable Experience

We’re lucky enough to work in an industry that is innovative and inspirational. However, sometimes, the reality of work, deadlines and pressure can mean that you just don’t have time to stop, reflect and really savour what you are doing.

We’ve been told by colleagues that the bonus of taking time out to experience the EphMRA Conference was the fact that it was also a very enjoyable experience.

“It is so important to stand back and think about what we are doing and the opportunities to do it better. The EphMRA Conference is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and learn from research colleagues – as well as being a lot of fun.”

Mike Pepp – Account Director, Blueprint Partnership
